DescriptionDeepTalks creates a large Silverlight DeepZoom image from a indico conference or meeting agenda (indico is used mostly for particle physics conferences). See http://deeptalk.phys.washington.edu for example. This is the desktop version which will allow you to create a DeepTalk image on your local disk.
Many layout and config features and bugs fixed/added since the last version. Very large conferences are now correctly rendered and it even does pptx files.
After you've rendered the conference you can view it by clicking on the
Conference Viewer link in the talk's folder. You can also copy the complete folder to any web server (any OS!), and point your browser at the ViewConference.html file to view it. Note that double clicking on the ViewConference file in windows won't work due to security issues.
Prerequisite: Make sure to have a modern version of
ghostscript installed. I strongly recommend 8.63 of ghostscript. I've seen 8.62 crash on the PDF's rendered by old PPT files, and 8.63 somehow seems to do the rendering just fine.
