The Web Site
A web site and backend web service that serves up conferences version 1.0 has been released based on this code. The web site allows you to enter URL's to render, and a backend that will automatically render the conference. Once the render is done a link for the talk will be displayed on the web site. This release was timed for the CHEP 2009
The Web Site
There is no download associated with this release. See the DeepTalk Web Site
web site. Feel free to submit a HEP talk (please, make sure the conference is public, not private!!).
The DeepZoom Composer folks released a new version of the composer tools right before the conference, and their new working model broke many of the assumptions of this tool. As a result there are a number of known problems that will be fixed in an new release:
- There are numerous layout problems -- backgrounds not as large as the talks, etc. But as far as I know no talk data is actually obscured - this is a cosmetic only bug.
- The titles of some sections and talks isn't correct. The slides are always correct (if not, please submit a bug!).
- The HTML/CSS of the website doesn't look right (but it is functional). This has more to do with me not understanding CSS than anything else.
Further, the updates to the backend - especially improvements in the memory model - will be rolled into the next stand alone tool release.
